Have you ever spoken unkindly to someone? Did the words profoundly affect that person? Words are powerful; and when they are used to hurt someone, they can be devastating. The words you speak and the things you say do have a huge affect not only on yourself, but others as well. Yes, what you say really does matter.

Have you ever called yourself stupid, dumb, idiot? Have you berated yourself in front of the mirror because you feel fat? Do you realize every word you say is being processed by your subconscious and, in some cases, imbeds itself there? Thus, it begins to seep into your conscious self and the feelings of self-worth begin to dissipate.

What you say ultimately translates into eventual belief. If you utter to yourself, “I’m not very good at soccer,” you will never succeed in that sport. You are setting up a defeatist attitude even before you begin. When you begin a thought or a sentence with a negative word, your expectations can never be realized.

So too, you may call someone an idiot. While you may apologize, the word has already been spoken; you can’t take it back. The person on the receiving end of the insult may take it to heart, and can be changed forever. We live in a world where words are used to attack, cajole, embrace, nurture, disengage, provoke and inspire. We not only hurt ourselves, we hurt others as well. Anger, frustration, and disappointment contribute to the misuse of words. Even though the aftermath of unkind words are realized, we still do it. Perhaps the old adage is true, “If you can’t say something nice, then don’t say anything at all.”

It is important to realize the affect words have on us. Whether we mean to say them or not, said often enough they can transform the very essence of who we are. Children are especially vulnerable to words. Yet, we continue to use unkind and often insensitive words as a disciplinary measure. Eventually, they grow up with low self-esteem, or painfully shy, or feel they are worth anything at all.

The next time you speak, think about the words you are about to impart. Choose them wisely when speaking to your peers, and cautiously when speaking to children. Understand that one word can positively or negatively affect someone’s life; even your own

Unless you live under a rock right now then you have been told that the economy is in a bit of rough shape. So maybe it is time to think about being an entrepreneur consider home based employment. With home based employment you are able to work right from home, which will not only be more comfortable, but which comes with a number of other benefits as well. For instance if you have children, and you want to stay home with them rather than having to put them in daycare, this can be a great option for you.

There are so many different choices when it comes to home based employment, and you can find a job that you really love but without having to spend a ton of time doing it. You may not make as much money as you would like at first, but it does take time, and if you have patience you can end up like many people out there these days, who make a full-time work income right at home.
It is of great value for you to research when it comes to home based employment, one of the most important things that you need to be aware of is to consider the source of the opportunity. See how long they have been around and see what types of products or services they are offering. It may be hard for you to believe how much money you can make online, so you don’t want to turn down an opportunity, just because it sounds too good to be true for you. People actually can and DO make $10,000 and up in a month.

Most online opportunities do not require much education or experience. That is what makes them so great anyone can jump in. Some opportunities offer you a chance that you will be able to make thousands of dollars in a week. Some opportunities offer you to do data entry. You know yourself what you enjoy doing so gear yourself to look in areas of interest. This is your new life, so you should be thinking about what makes YOU happy each day. As the saying goes “Follow Your Bliss and the Money will Come”

As with anything, you wouldn’t get married to a stranger in most cases, so do your due diligence. You will need to change your concept of success in many cases because you can really make a lot, and I mean a lot of money, in some cases you can make in a month what many make in a year if you work on line and from home. But it does not happen overnight. You want to make sure that you always read the details on a business opportunity very carefully when you are trying to find a business online.

If you are really in the search for that next opportunity then ask around to your family and friends or local clubs. You can also go to online forums and blogs and see if any of them are already doing at-home work. People already in the trenchs will be able to help you out and maybe even turn you on to a great opportunity you would not have considered.

In conclusion, home based employment can be a great option for you. Like myself you can make a living only working a few hours a day on the computer. Many of us that work from home doing Internet business have ended up with a very reasonable income, so you can do this too.

We all experience it at one time or another; this trespasser called stress. It is perhaps the number one cause of most health problems today. Let’s explore 6 ways to deal with the stress in your life in a healthy and effective manner.

* Talk about the problems you are experiencing with friends, loved ones or a professional. Keeping everything bottled up will only create more problems later on. Join a support group with people experiencing similar problems.
* Exercise often. Go to the park and walk for 20-30 minutes either every day or every other day. Exercise relieves tension and produces a calming effect. Perhaps joining a gym with a friend would be more to your liking.
* Yoga exercises. Sit in a quiet room alone and begin breathing exercises. Choose a mantra which will help you to stay focused.
* Music does calm the savage beast. Listen to some classical or instrumental music. Ocean or nature sounds are a perfect way to release stress.
* Healthy meals can become an important factor in limiting your stress. Ensure you eat three meals a day, and make an effort to avoid too much caffeine and sugar.
* Sleep deprivation can cause stress. Go to bed early. Seven to eight hours sleep can make all the difference.

Coping with stress can be challenging. Every day you seem to be pulled in every direction, trying to accommodate others. The first priority is to take care of you. You are the thread which holds your family together. If you are stressed, you won’t be much good to anyone.

Give yourself a break every now and then. Buy a new outfit; go to a movie; do something you’ve always wanted to do. Your family can take care of themselves for one day. Alone time is just as important to you as it is for everyone else. Think of yourself as a gas tank; eventually you will run out of fuel.

Laughter is a wonderful release. You’ve probably noticed those times when you’ve laughed so hard, you cried. This is probably due to the fact you haven’t laughed in a while, and the tension released through laughter is the best cure-all method for dealing with stress-related issues.
Avoid stressful situations whenever possible. If you are a working mom, it’s probably not the job but the people who are causing you the most stress. Take everything in stride.
If you can’t finish a task, don’t worry about it. If dinner doesn’t turn out as you expected, improvise or order out.

Life is too short; and stress can reduce it further. Nothing is more important than your health or state of mind. Eleanor Roosevelt wisely said, “No one can make you a victim without your consent.” She was right; it is, after all, up to you.

When you walk in the door, you see a stack of papers floating around your desk, and when you go home, just as at the office, you can’t find those important papers you need so desperately to stay out of trouble or make an excuse. When you come home at night, you and your spouse argue, and your children ignore you because you just aren’t spending family time with some of the important people in your life.

Does this sound familiar? Have you ever wondered why? Well, you are not managing your time accordingly so that you reap benefits and the ones you love are happy. You are not organized, so therefore how the heck can you find those important documents? Moms already have a big responsibility and when we neglect to manage our time, our responsibilities turn to chaos.

Let’s face it; it is never easy to stay organized when we have busy work schedules and a family to attend to, as well as other responsibilities. The traditional individuals often store files in a filing cabinet, and clean their room and desk once every week. However, there are people out there that are spontaneous. Some of us even store documents so they are out of sight and soon find those documents are out of mind, until someone calls their attention to the papers.

The key to success moms is getting your priorities straight. If you shop for groceries once per week, you can cut back time by buying enough to last longer, so that grocery shopping isn’t part of your weekly plan. The extra hour or more that you spend at the supermarket can be spent on quality time with the family. This is only one solution to managing your time, but it is certainly a start.

In addition, you can make up a list of your duties, starting with the most important tasks first, and working through the list one at a time. I found this to be a great solution for managing time, since when you work hard to complete one task, the rests fall into place with ease.

If you spend an hour or even one half hour in the mirror, it is probably because you are not feeling good about your self. It takes approximately five minutes to put make-up on, and to stand in the mirror longer is only taking up time.

Hair is also important since our person in general sets an impression. If you spend longer time than needed doing your hair, try finding nice looking hairstyles that are less complicated to style. This is also a great process of the time management solution

Clothing should also be limited but appropriate for whatever it is that you doing and it should not take less than a couple of minutes to get dressed. Unless you are a model, or actress, overdressing is not appropriate in most cases for everyday life situations. If you are spending extra time preparing meals, you might want to consider recipes that are quick and healthy to manage your time mom.

These are a few simple tips of managing your time so that you can spend more time doing the things in life that is most important to you.

What is that saying? We can fool some of the people some of the time. When it comes to ourselves, we can’t even get away with a suspicious look. For goal setting, it is important to truly know yourself.

Motivation is the process we use to continue doing something. It can come in the form of rewards, support, self-affirmations, or visual aids. With any goals that we set, there has to be a motivating force behind it to spur us on to success. We have to have a reason for continuing on until we reach our goal.

What motivates us? That is the $64,000 question. To begin, learn a bit about yourself. I know that people say that they don’t know who they are, but we each have a basic idea that we can build upon. Here are a few things to help get the juices flowing and aid in figuring out who you really are. From there, you’ll be able to find your motivation and complete your goals successfully.

What do you like? That’s an easy one. Likes and dislikes come from experiences in life. You may not like snakes or public speaking or high places. So, a goal of climbing Mt. Everest would not be good for you or using a climbing trip as a motivating factor to run five miles a day.

Motivation is a mind game. To be more exact, it is a tool of the subconscious mind. Negative thinking brings about negative results. All the motivation in the world can’t overcome the power of negative self-talk on the subconscious mind.

Are you a negative person? The first step to achieving your goals would be combating the negative thoughts. Simply ignoring them and trying to go on with your goals is self-defeating, because beneath the front we put on for others lay our own subconscious thoughts that will win in the end if we let them. You have to kick the negativity not just mask it.

Achieving goals is a process that involves finding our motivation. A lack of motivation results in broken promises. The goal can be stopped at any time we become bored, upset, or ridiculed by another. In order to find the source of our motivation, create a list of your attributes. On this list, include:

· Likes

· Dislikes

· Character traits

· How you would describe yourself

· Goals you have achieved in the past

All of this information can be combined to determine how motivated you are right now. If you have had goals in the past but never achieved them, look to the character traits and words to describe yourself for insight. Someone with low self esteem will have a tough time getting and staying motivated to do something without a support system.

Look at your list of goals. Are there any goals that require you to do something that you don’t like in order to reach them? One example of this would be someone who wants to start a motivational speaking business, but who doesn’t like crowds or getting up in front of others.

Once you’ve found the things that are keeping you from reaching your goals you can start the process of overcoming them. Begin implementing things which can help you get past those drawbacks. For instance, if you need a support system, enlist the help of a friend or mentor to hold you accountable. If you need pep talks to get you through rough times, ask your spouse or close friend to be there for you during those times and lift you up again.

Learning a few things about yourself is the key to finding the motivation to achieve your goals. Without taking a good look in the mirror, goals will be sabotaged from within more than they ever will from other people or circumstances.
