Before joining you may come to 2 open events to learn more about Mocha Moms and to meet its members. Once you have decided to join, you have 3 options:

1. Join online at the national website www.mochamoms.org for a $40 membership fee and email the confirmation message to lehighvalleymochamoms@gmail.com so that you may start participating right away.

2. Join at any Mocha Moms event and we will submit your completed application and your $40 membership fee for you. Please be advised that we suggest all mailed applications be sent via certified mail. Each applicant is responsible for any associated postal fees.

3. Mail your completed application and $40 membership fee (check or money order made payable to Mocha Moms, Inc.) to Mocha Moms, Inc., Membership Processing, P.O. Box 1434, Manassas, VA 20108. Email us at lehighvalleymochamoms@gmail.com to let us know you have mailed your application and dues.

Please note that it may take 6-8 weeks for checks to clear and for us to learn that you have joined. We strongly recommend keeping a photocopy of both your check and application.

Terms of Membership

The following terms of membership were formulated as a part of the Lehigh Valley Chapter (MMLV) by-laws to promote the ultimate team work in the MMLV chapter today and in the future as we grow. It is intended to create an atmosphere of shared work and responsibility amongst our members. By supporting these activities we will have a strong and thriving chapter. It is our intention to reward your hard work with special member benefits throughout the year.

We strongly encourage members of the MMLV chapter to:

• pay yearly membership dues
• as required by Nationals, read the local chapter operations manual, code of conduct & the chapter bylaws located in the files section of our Yahoo! Group
• begin participating within 1 month of joining
• attend at least 1 regularly scheduled meeting/event per month including Mother’s Support Group, Mom’s Night Out/In, Couples/Family events, etc.
• host or plan one MMLV meeting/event
• within 2 months of joining become a member of at least one committee, chair a committee, or become a volunteer available to all committees
• participate in at least 2 fundraising efforts by physically helping out, donating items or providing financial support
• participate in at least 1 national and 1 local community service endeavor
• promote MMLV with the provided materials (fliers, brochures, business cards) & assist at 1 community event where MMLV is being promoted
